Nyo is an 18-year-old mother from Burma. She lives with her husband and son. Nyo works as a homemaker. During her free time, Nyo likes to spend time with her son. Her husband is a small-scale farmer and labourer. Even with their combined incomes, they are unable to meet their needs.
Nyo is currently expecting her second child. Her doctors recommend that she deliver via a caesarean section to avoid complications caused by delivering a baby in a breech presentation. This way, doctors can ensure the safety of both Nyo and her new baby.
Thankfully, Nyo will undergo a C-Section on January 15th at Tha Song Yang Hospital. Our medical partner, Burma Children Medical Fund, is requesting $1,500 to cover the cost of Nyo’s procedure.
Nyo said, “I worry about my surgery cost as I cannot afford to pay for it. I would like to deliver my baby safely, like my first. I am happy to receive support from the organization and donors for my surgery costs.”

Nyo’s surgery was a success, and she is recovering well. She plans to take care of her newborn baby boy along with her household responsibilities as soon as she is fully recovered. She also plans to find a job to support her family’s daily expenses as well as save for their children’s education. She hopes that her baby boy will become a healthcare professional who can help and treat patients like her.
Nyo expressed her gratitude, saying, “Thank you so much to this organisation and the donors for your help with my C-section costs. I cannot find enough words to express my gratitude. Without you, my successful surgery would not have been possible, and I wish each one of you a healthy and happy life.”
