Ana María is a five-year-old intelligent student from Colombia. She has many friends and enjoys playing with them, and also spending time with her family.
For about a year now, Ana María has had umbilical hernia, a condition in which a small portion of abdominal tissue protrudes through the navel. The condition has been causing her swelling and discomfort in the navel area, especially when she’s coughing or involved in physical activities. A surgical procedure has been recommended to treat the condition and prevent possible future complications.
Fortunately, our medical partner, Clínica Noel, is helping Ana María receive treatment. On October 17th, she will undergo hernia repair surgery to alleviate her symptoms and improve her health. Now, Anna María’s family needs help to fund this $786 procedure.
Ana María’s mother says: “I wish to express my deepest gratitude to everyone supporting my daughter’s treatment. May God bless you and reward you for this noble gesture. As Ana’s mother, I cannot thank you enough; there is no way to repay what you are doing for us, but I will always carry your help and solidarity in my heart. Thank you so much!”

Ana María had a successful surgery. She’ll now be able to enjoy a more peaceful and pain-free life when playing, practicing sports, or carrying out her day-to-day activities. Her family is very grateful and believes that now that she is healing, Ana María will be able to live her childhood to the fullest, free from limitations and complications.
Ana Maria’s mother shared, “She feels calm. It has been a process that we have waited for with patience and hope, and today, thanks to that angel that God put in our path, it is a reality. She is passionate about swimming, but the discomfort caused by the hernia prevents her from doing so. Now, after receiving treatment, she feels more confident and will undoubtedly be able to become a great swimmer.”
She added, “As Ana María’s parents, we tell her that the surgery not only transformed her life, but also reminded us that there are still people with huge hearts, capable of giving without expecting anything in return. Today, my daughter smiles with hope, and that smile bears your name. May life give you back many times over everything you have given. We will always carry you in our hearts.”
