“I plan on opening a small beauty and jewelry shop to increase the market base for my creations. I hope to receive treatment so that I can achieve this dream,” says Rahab, a 33-year-old woman from Kenya.
A wife and mother to two, Rahab makes and sells her own beaded jewelry at the local market with her husband, who sells clothes for a living. This is how they make ends meet for their family.
“Three months ago, Rahab noticed three lumps in her right breast and went to a local clinic for screening,” African Mission Healthcare Foundation (AMHF) tells us. “There, she was directed to a women’s hospital, where a biopsy revealed that the lumps were positive for cancerous cells.”
Rahab and her family have pulled together $240 for surgery to remove the cancerous growths through a mastectomy. With an additional $740 we can help fully fund Rahab’s treatment.
Let’s help Rahab get well and continue her passions going forward!
