Maraka was born with ptosis, a disorder of the muscles that hold up the eyelid. Untreated, ptosis causes trouble with field of vision, headaches, and fatigue. It’s important to correct this condition quickly so Makara can live a healthy and unimpaired life.
Makara’s parents work hard; his mother as a cook and his father as a driver. We hope to help them cover the cost of their son’s $250 treatment so they can watch him grow into a normal, happy toddler!

Makara returned to the hospital to have his stitches removed and the doctors are pleased with the result. He will no longer have impaired vision, headaches, or fatigue.
