He is having trouble gaining weight and staying hydrated. If left untreated, Brian will become excessively dehydrated and could lose his life. Brian's parents tell his doctors, "we pray that our son lives." For $700, we can fund a procedure to rectify Brian's condition, allowing him to breastfeed normally and grow up healthy and strong!

Grace is a gifted beautician who cares for her grandmother. Early last year, Grace’s grandmother contracted tuberculosis. Doctors were able to treat her in time, but they missed the fact that Grace was living with her. Grace was exposed to tuberculosis, and it went undetected for months. Now, Grace’s situation is serious. The tuberculosis has spread to her spine, and she can no longer feel her lower limbs. Grace uses a wheelchair to get around and is unable to work because of constant, excruciating pain. Grace's relatives are doing their best to support her. Together, they saved $1,000 to contribute to the cost of her care, an anterior compression with instrumented fusion that is expected to give her a 70-80% chance of walking again. Africa Mission Healthcare Foundation is requesting the remaining $1,500 needed to prevent Grace's permanent paralysis and give her a chance at a normal life. Grace “longs to go back to work and make a living," and this is the first step toward getting her back to the salon she loves!

Makara and his mother traveled for two hours to be seen at Children's Surgical Centre in Phnom Penh. Maraka was born with ptosis, a disorder of the muscles that hold up the eyelid. Untreated, ptosis causes trouble with field of vision, headaches, and fatigue. It's important to correct this condition quickly so Makara can live a healthy and unimpaired life. Makara's parents work hard; his mother as a cook and his father as a driver. We hope to help them cover the cost of their son's $250 treatment so they can watch him grow into a normal, happy toddler!

Ntambi is a light-hearted grandmother who staff at AMHF say, "has numerous stories to tell." Ntambi has been blind as a result of cataracts for the last ten years, but had no idea that her condition was curable. Ntambi says she began experiencing difficulty seeing years ago, but had no money to seek medical attention. Ntambi continued on with her life, hoping that her challenges in sight were only temporary, but as her condition worsened, she became almost completely dependent on her daughter. As an extremely independent lady, Ntambi is "extremely bothered" by her dependency. She is thrilled that it's possible for her to regain her sight. AMHF staff say, "She cannot believe that she has the chance to start to see again!" $375 will completely cover the cost of Ntambi's cataract surgery.

Benny is a bright and optimistic guy whose future is threatened by a large tumor in his ear. Benny started experiencing severe pain in his ear when he was three years old, but several badly done operations over the years only made his condition worse – one of them caused him to lose his sight. Today, Benny’s doctors say if his tumor is not removed, it could become malignant. Several local nuns, who took Benny under their wings and educated him to the university level, have $1000 to contribute to his surgery. They need help covering the remaining $1500 needed to give him a chance at a normal life. Our Medical Partner, AMHF, told us, “Benny is confident that he can face whatever comes his way.
