Noah is a shy and sweet six-year-old boy from Tanzania. In his free time, he enjoys playing, running, and aiding in pastoral duties with his father.
When Noah was eight months old, his father noticed that he had an enlarged genital mass. Initial attempts to treat Noah with medication and traditional medicinal herbs did not work, and since then, his pain and swelling have only worsened. At this point, he cannot run, walk long distances, or play very long due to the pain he experiences.
Seeking an evaluation and treatment through our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, Noah was diagnosed with a hernia. He is now scheduled to undergo hernia repair surgery on April 24.
Although his family is able to contribute $49 to the cost of his procedure, Noah is still in need of $539 to cover the rest of the expenses. After this treatment, Noah will no longer experience pain due to his hernia, and will be able to walk and play comfortably.
This will greatly relieve Noah's father, who says, “Please help my son get better. He feels so embarrassed in front of his friends that he doesn’t want to go to school."
