Heang is a 41-year-old woman working in the crushed stone industry. She's from Takeo province in Cambodia. Heang is married and has two sons but no grandchildren yet. Her husband also works in the crushed stone industry, and her sons are students. In her free time, Heang likes to cook her favorite foods. About three years ago, due to trauma from a stone at work, the retina of Heang's right eye detached. This is causing her partial blindness and tearing. She has difficulty seeing things clearly, recognizing faces, and going anywhere alone. When Heang learned about our medical partner, Children's Surgical Centre, she traveled for three hours seeking treatment. On May 4th, eye surgeons will perform a retinal detachment repair procedure in her right eye. After recovery, she will be able to see clearly. Now, Children's Surgical Centre is requesting $706 to fund her procedure. Heang said, "I hope that after surgery my vision will improve, allowing me to see clearly, recognize things more easily, and return to work."

Rith is an 18-year-old high school student from Takeo Province, Cambodia. He lives with his parents and two younger siblings. His father works as a construction worker, and his mother works in a footwear factory. He is currently in 9th grade and hopes to become an army officer in the future. In his free time, he enjoys playing volleyball with his friends in the village. Three months ago, Rith was involved in a motor vehicle accident that caused paralysis of his right arm. He has been diagnosed with a brachial plexus injury — damage to the nerve network that transmits signals from the spine to the shoulder, arm, and hand. As a result, he experiences shoulder droop, pain, numbness and is unable to lift his right arm, making it difficult to perform daily activities and basic self-care. Fortunately, on May 7th, Rith will undergo brachial plexus repair surgery with the help of our medical partner, Children's Surgical Centre. His family can contribute $75, but they need help raising an additional $662 to fund his procedure and care. The surgery will allow him to regain movement and independence in his daily life. Rith said, “I hope the surgery will reduce my pain and help me regain movement in my hand and shoulder so I can return to my normal daily activities.”

Kena is eight-year-old energetic boy from Ethiopia. Kena is in the second grade and lives with his parents and his sister, but lately, his presence at school has been missed due to recurring bouts of tonsillitis. This chronic condition has temporarily sidelined him, pausing both his education and playtime. Two years ago, Kena began experiencing snoring, fever and recurring sore throats. This creates a difficult cycle of sick days that keeps him out of class and fun, active games he should be playing with his sister. He also experiences high fevers that keep coming back and a sharp, burning pain whenever he tries to swallow. This makes eating and drinking a daily struggle, often leaving him feeling completely exhausted and without energy. Kena was recently diagnosed with enlarged tonsils, which, if not treated, will cause his symptoms to persist and possibly intensify over time. Thankfully, our medical partner, Saglan Wajee General Hospital can help. They are requesting $700 to fund a tonsillectomy for Kena, which is scheduled to take place on March 4th. Surgeons will remove his tonsils, hopefully relieving Kena of his symptoms and helping him live more comfortably. Kena says "I am so excited for the opportunity to get back to school and play with my friends. I really miss eating the snacks I love! Because of my tonsils, swallowing feels like a sharp fire, which makes eating feel like hard work. I know my mom and dad are worried, and I think the best part for them will be seeing me smile and run around with all my energy again."

Samuel is a very cheerful boy from Colombia who loves animals, watching television, and playing with his friends. He dreams of growing up and working alongside his father, following in his footsteps as a welder. He lives in Frontino, Antioquia, with his family. For some time now, he has been suffering from severe tooth decay and is receiving dental treatment. About a year ago, he was evaluated for the first time by a pediatric dentist, who diagnosed multiple deep cavities. Since then, he has been under observation, but the disease has progressed, causing intense and persistent pain, inflammation, episodes of suppuration (presence of pus), and difficulty eating and sleeping. After a complex process, it was concluded that the treatment should be performed under general anesthesia, considering the number of teeth affected and his young. This step represents much more than pain relief: it is an opportunity to give him back his smile, his peace of mind, and the chance to fully enjoy his childhood. With proper treatment, Samuel will have relieved pain, prevent new infections, and regain his quality of life, improving his ability to eat, sleep, and develop normally. Samuel's mother shares with emotion, "Your work is truly admirable. Many children need this process, and thanks to your generous support, many of them will be able to receive the treatment they need. Samuel will be able to regain his smile and the quality of life that every child deserves. Seeing someone who does not know him personally get involved with such love is the purest reflection of human kindness. May God continue to bless you and guide your every step in this mission."

Spencer is a 17-month-old boy from Port-au-Prince, Haiti. He lives with his father, who is an electrician; his mother, who is a retail cashier; and one older sister. He enjoys playing with his sister and listening to music. Spencer has a cardiac condition called double outlet right ventricle. One of his major blood vessels attaches to his heart in an anatomically abnormal location, which prevents blood from flowing normally through his body. Without treatment, this condition leads to heart failure. Spencer will fly to the Dominican Republic to receive treatment. On March 4th, he will undergo cardiac surgery, during which surgeons will detach and reattach the blood vessel to the proper position relative to his heart. Another organization is covering Spencer's surgery, but his family needs support to fund travel costs and related care. Our medical partner, International Cardiac Alliance, is requesting $1,500 to cover labs, medicines, and check-up and follow-up appointments. It also supports securing travel documents for the family and travel costs for the social workers from our medical partner, who will accompany Spencer's family overseas. Spencer's mother shares, "Our family is so grateful that our son can have this chance to have his heart fixed, and we hope everything goes well!"

Paw is a 42-year-old woman from Burma. She lives with her husband and four children in a refugee camp in Tak Province, Thailand. Her husband is an agricultural day laborer, and all her children go to school in the camp. She is a homemaker. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with her children and helping them with their homework. Paw is pregnant, and doctors recommend that she deliver via a caesarean section due to a high-risk pregnancy. This way, doctors can ensure the safety of both mother and child. Our medical partner, Burma Children Medical Fund, is helping Paw undergo a C-Section on January 16th at our medical partner's care center, Tha Song Yang Hospital. This procedure will cost $1500, and Paw needs your support. Paw said, "I do not have money for my surgery. If you can help me with the surgery cost, thank you very much for that. I will also look for a job as a day laborer when my baby grows up in the future."

Emily is 45 years old and a mother of five children from Malawi. She is a farmer, while her husband works as a bicycle repairman. Since 2018, shortly after the birth of one of her children, Emily has been experiencing abdominal pains associated with severe bleeding. The condition has progressively weakened her, made it difficult for her to carry out her daily activities, and required her to undergo a blood transfusion. Emily has been diagnosed with uterine fibroids. She needs to undergo a hysterectomy, a procedure in which surgeons will remove her uterus. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is requesting $1,363 to fund Emily's surgery. On November 7th, she will undergo gynecological surgery at our medical partner's care center, Partners in Hope Medical Center. Once recovered, Emily will be able to resume her daily activities free of pain. Emily shared, "My hope completely depends on you, donors, to save my life; I cannot afford to pay for my surgery."

Nay is a 13-year-old boy from Burma. He lives with his grandmother and mother in Karen State, near the border of Burma and Thailand. He is a student and his mother sells snacks near the school by living. His grandmother is retired. In his free time, he loves with help his mother with purchasing things to re-sell it and sometimes play game in the phone. During his free time, he enjoys playing football. On November 29th, 2025, Nay was helping out at home, when he fell from a chair, causing a fracture on his left arm. He is in pain and unable to move his hand. With the help of our medical partner, Burma Children Medical Fund (BCMF), Nay will undergo surgery to reset his fractured bones and ensure proper healing. The procedure is scheduled for December 4th and will cost $1,500. Bones will be aligned and will allow them to heal properly. Once healed he will able to use his hand to write, play sports and carry out daily activities pain free. Nay's grandmother said, "After hearing about the surgery cost we thought about going back to Burma to seek treatment there. However as the injury is bad, the doctors told us the surgery is urgent. Without your support, we don't know what we would have done. We feel happy donors and BCMF can support my grandson."

Reynaldo is 50 years old and a driver from the Philippines. He and his wife have three children. He worked as a legislative staff for twenty years but had to retire due to his medical condition. He now drives for clients who hire him when they need him. However, due to his current health condition, he has stopped working for a month now. Six months ago, Reynaldo began to experience troubling symptoms, including severe abdominal pain that radiated to his back, legs, and feet. He also experienced a burning sensation from his stomach down to his feet. He was diagnosed with gallstones and has been advised to undergo a cholecystectomy, the surgical removal of the gallbladder. If left untreated, his symptoms will continue to worsen and put him at risk for further health complications in the future. After seeking treatment through our medical partner, World Surgical Foundation Philippines (WSFP), Reynaldo is scheduled to undergo a cholecystectomy on October 12th. A portion of the cost of the procedure is being supported by the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation, and WSFP is raising the remaining $1,031 to cover the cost of Reynaldo's surgery and care. Reynaldo shared, "I am very thankful to everyone who’s there to help me with my medical condition. I hope more individuals who cannot afford such medical expenses can also receive support."
