Penghong is a five-year-old boy from Cambodia. He is in the first grade. He wants to be a teacher when he grows up. He enjoys playing football with friends and watching TV. He has two older brothers. For the past two years, he has had a recurrent sinus infection. He has difficulty swallowing and snores at night. He needs tonsillectomy surgery to get rid of his infection and help him sleep well again. Fortunately, surgery is scheduled for April 24. Now, his family needs help raising $221.

Piseth is a five-year-old boy from Cambodia. He has two older brothers and a sister. He is the youngest in the family. He likes to play games with his friends. Four years ago, his left hand was burned by an open fire. Burn scar contractures have developed, tightening the skin around his burn. He can't bend his fingers. When Piseth learned about our medical partner, Children's Surgical Centre, he traveled for five hours seeking treatment. On April 25, surgeons at CSC will perform a burn contracture release surgery to to help him use his hand easily again. Now, he needs help to fund this $448 procedure.

Kakada is a one-year-old girl from Cambodia. She has five sisters and one brother. She is the youngest child. She enjoys playing with her siblings and neighbors. Kakada was born with polydactyly of both feet and hands. This means that she has extra digits on both hands and feet. She has difficulty moving her feet. Fortunately, on March 7, surgeons will perform a polydactyly repair procedure to remove the extra digits. Our medical partner, Children's Surgical Centre, is requesting $237 to fund this procedure. After surgery, she will feel more comfortable and be able to use her hands and feet more easily. Her mother says, "I am looking forward to my daughter coming home and relaxing after her surgery."

Chhanun is a one-year-old child from Cambodia. She likes to play with toy cars and enjoys eating fruit. Four months ago, she was burned by hot water. Burn scar contractures have developed, tightening the skin around her fingers. She cannot hold things or easily move her fingers. When Chhanun's family learned about our medical partner, Children's Surgical Centre, they traveled for six and a half hours seeking treatment. On February 12, surgeons at CSC will perform a burn contracture release surgery to to help her use her hands again. Now, her family needs help to fund this $448 procedure. Her father says, "I hope my daughter can use her hand freely again."

Bun is a six-year-old from Cambodia. He has one older sister. He likes to play with his neighbors and watch cartoons. When he grows up he wants to be a teacher in his village. Bun has ptosis in his left eye. Ptosis occurs when the eyelid droops over the eye. He feels uncomfortable when he is at school Bun traveled to our medical partner's care center to receive treatment. On February 5, surgeons at our medical partner, Children's Surgical Centre (CSC), will perform an eyelid correction procedure to improve his vision. Now, Bun needs help to raise $292 to fund this procedure. His mother says, "I hope my son can feel more comfortable and less shy at school after the surgery."

Piseth is a nine-year-old boy from Cambodia. He wants to be a teacher when he's older, and his favorite food is pork and rice with coca cola. When he was eleven months old, he got injections in his leg from a village clinic to treat his fever. The injection site became very sore over time, and Piseth couldn't move his leg. He has a muscle contracture, which limits mobility, so he can't bend or straighten his knee properly. When Piseth learned about our medical partner, Children's Surgical Centre, he traveled for four hours seeking treatment. On January 12, surgeons at CSC will perform a quadricepsplasty procedure of his right leg to help him improve mobility. Now, Piseth's family needs help to fund this $413 procedure.

Channa is a motorbike repairman from Cambodia. He spends most of his time working at his shop, but enjoys playing soccer with his friends in his free time. In March of 2018, he was in a motorbike accident near his home that caused a jaw fracture. He went to a hospital immediately and had surgery to fix his jaw with internal wiring. He has run out of money and is ready to get the wires out, which are now uncomfortable and protruding outward. Fortunately, surgeons at our medical partner, Children's Surgical Centre, can help. On December 5, Channa will undergo a hardware removal procedure, which will cost $214. This procedure will eliminate the discomfort and improve the function of his jaw. "I hope my son can feel better and not be in pain," says his mother.

Sophanith is a ninth grader from Cambodia. He has two brothers and one sister. He loves to play soccer. When he was seven years old, Sophanith had an ear infection. This infection caused the tympanic membrane, or the ear drum, in his right ear to perforate. For this reason, Sophanith experiences ringing ears, pain, and discharge. He is having trouble paying attention in school, and always needs medication to stop the discharge. Sophanith traveled to our medical partner's care center to receive treatment. On November 20, he will undergo a myringoplasty procedure in his right ear. During this procedure, surgeons will close the perforation. Our medical partner, Children's Surgical Centre, is requesting $423 to fund this procedure. This covers medications, supplies, and inpatient care. He says, "I hope I can go back to school without pain in my ear."

Rachana is a five-year-old boy from Cambodia. He has one sister and one brother. He likes to stay at home and play with his mother. About three weeks ago, Rachana developed a painful mass in his submandibular gland, the major salivary gland located beneath the floor of the mouth. Rachana's parents heard about our medical partner, Children's Surgical Centre (CSC), from their neighbor who had been to CSC before. Rachana traveled for four hours with his mother to reach CSC for treatment. On July 13, surgeons at CSC will remove the mass to help Rachana feel comfortable again. The $220 requested to fund Rachana's procedure will cover the full cost of his treatment, including a hospital stay, labs, radiology, supplies, and surgeon time.

Meet Piseth, a 13-year-old student from Cambodia. Piseth loves watching TV, playing football, and playing video games in his free time. In June of this year, Piseth noticed a skin growth on his outer left ear. The growth, which has now been diagnosed a benign pyogenic granuloma, causes Piseth pain and discomfort. Our medical partner, Children's Surgical Centre, has arranged for Piseth to undergo surgery on August 1 to remove the pyogenic granuloma. Piseth needs our support to pay for his $220 medical bill, which will include his surgery, lab work, and hospital stay.

Chhung Sing is a four-year-old boy from Cambodia. He has one sister and one brother. He likes to be looked after by his mother at home and watch the cartoon channel on TV. Chhung Sing recently developed a mass of his right wrist. As a result, he experiences pain, itchiness, and discomfort. Chhung Sing's parents heard about our medical partner, Children's Surgical Centre (CSC), because his grandmother had eye surgery at CSC before. Chhung Sing traveled for four hours with his father to reach CSC for treatment. On July 14, surgeons at CSC will remove the mass to allow Chhung Sing to use his right hand comfortably. The $220 requested to fund Chhung Sing's treatment will cover the full cost of the procedure, including a hospital stay, labs, supplies, radiology, and surgeon time.
