Rachana is a five-year-old boy from Cambodia. He has one sister and one brother. He likes to stay at home and play with his mother.
About three weeks ago, Rachana developed a painful mass in his submandibular gland, the major salivary gland located beneath the floor of the mouth.
Rachana’s parents heard about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC), from their neighbor who had been to CSC before. Rachana traveled for four hours with his mother to reach CSC for treatment.
On July 13, surgeons at CSC will remove the mass to help Rachana feel comfortable again. The $220 requested to fund Rachana’s procedure will cover the full cost of his treatment, including a hospital stay, labs, radiology, supplies, and surgeon time.
