Gay is a 24-year-old woman from Burma. She lives with her mother, two sisters, two nephews, and her younger brother in a refugee camp in Thailand. She is a homemaker, while her mother, husband, and her brother-in-law work outside of the camp as day laborers. During her free time, she loves to weave Karen traditional clothes for an income, but she had to stop doing it due to her pregnancy. Gay is expecting her first baby, and doctors recommend that she deliver via a caesarean section because of the premature rupture of membranes and a failed induction of labour. This way, doctors can ensure the safety of both mother and child. Our medical partner, Burma Children Medical Fund, is helping Gay undergo a C-Section on October 27th at our medical partner's care center, Tha Song Yang Hospital. This procedure will cost $1,500, and Gay needs your support. Gay said, "Thank you very much to this organization and all the donors for your kind heart and support. If I have to pay it by myself, I would be in high debt, as the income our family makes is just enough to buy food and basic needs."

Yemariam is a social and active 3-year-old from Ethiopia who loves playing with her friends and toys. Her mother works as a secretary at a government institution, and her father works as a driver for a private company. Since birth, Yemariam has had an umbilical hernia, a condition in which tissue pushes through a weakened area around the belly button. Her mother first noticed the swelling shortly after Yemariam was born. The doctors examined her condition and advised the family that she might need surgery in the future if the condition did not resolve on its own. As Yemariam grew older and started attending school, her parents became increasingly concerned about her condition and its impact on her physical and emotional well-being. Her parents searched for a way to get her the surgery she needed. They first took Yemariam to a private hospital. The cost of the procedure was too high, so they visited a nearby health center, where Yemariam was referred to a higher-level government hospital and was placed on a surgery waitlist for the next month. During this time, the hospital referred Yemariam to our medical partner's care center. When Yemariam and her mother arrived, her mother was concerned that her condition was too complicated and she would not be able to receive the treatment she needed. After an assessment, the medical team explained Yemariam's condition and informed her mother that she could undergo surgery. Fortunately, on September 30th, Yemariam will undergo hernia repair surgery. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is requesting $512 to fund Yemariam's procedure. Once completed, this surgery will allow her to live more comfortably and confidently. Yemariam's mother said, "Thank you so much to everyone who helped my daughter. I still can't believe it. I thank God for blessing you all. We had been waiting for four to five months, and now my daughter can receive the care she needed. Phyo Min is a 31-year-old agricultural day labourer from Burma. He lives with his wife, two sons, and daughter in a refugee village in Mae Sot District, Tak Province, Thailand. Phyo Min works as an agricultural day labourer in the corn fields near his village, while his wife is a homemaker. Their three children are students attending a migrant school. Originally from Bago Division, Burma, the family moved to Thailand in 2020 to seek better job opportunities. On the 9th of March 2026, Phyo Min experienced severe upper right abdominal pain, fever, and vomiting. After several tests, doctors found that he had multiple stones in the intrahepatic duct (IHD) and common hepatic duct (CHD) with recurrent pyogenic cholangitis. Phyo Min has been advised to undergo a cholecystectomy, the surgical removal of the gallbladder. If left untreated, his symptoms will continue to worsen and put her at risk for further health complications in the future. Our medical partner, Burma Children Medical Fund (BCMF), is helping Phyo Min undergo surgery on August 14th. BCMF is requesting $1,500 to cover the total cost of Phyo Min's procedure and care. Phyo Min said, "I am happy and excited to receive surgery, but I am also a bit scared. However, without surgery, I won't feel better, so this is the only option that will help me get better. After treatment, I will rest for a while and go back to work as soon as possible, as I am the only person who can support my family."
