Shallon is a 30-year-old mother of twins from Rukarara in rural Uganda. She works as a farm laborer on rented land.
Two months ago, Shallon was hospitalized for malaria. The costs of her medical care at that time proved extremely stressful to the family.
Now, Shallon is about to give birth to their third child. The baby is in breech presentation—a position that results in increased risks during birth. To help minimize the risks and ensure a safe delivery, Shallon has been referred to the hospital to deliver by C-section on June 5. Our medical partner, The Kellermann Foundation, requests $258 to cover the costs of the C-section.
Shallon looks forward to a safe delivery and is grateful to the donors funding her care. She says, “I thank the donors that are contributing towards my delivery. I have been told that I will deliver by C-section and the costs are high. May God bless the donors.”
