Harka is a dedicated family man from a remote village in Nepal. For the past three years, he has experienced persistent joint pain, swelling, fevers, and an itchy skin lesion on his leg. He was recently diagnosed with lupus vulgaris—a chronic and progressive form of tuberculosis.
Harka supports his wife and daughter by farming his modest land and working in India for a majority of the year— often taking on labor-intensive jobs — to make ends meet.
As the sole breadwinner of his family, Harka is worried his health will adversely affect his ability to provide for them. Our partner in Nepal says he needs urgent care, because tuberculosis can easily spread and lead to cancer or recurring skin infections.
Together, we can raise the $360 Harka needs to get treatment and continue being the backbone of his family!
