Willam is a 78-year-old man from Malawi’s Central Region, where he lives near his four children and eight grandchildren. In his free time, Willam enjoys spending time with his family and listening to the radio.
Willam works as a farmer, but unfortunately has been unable to work for the past several months due to abdominal pain and discomfort caused by an inguinal hernia. He has been unable to sleep well or perform his normal daily duties.
For $613, Nkhoma District Hospital will preform hernia repair surgery to strengthen William’s inguinal tissue and reduce his pain and discomfort.
He and his family are eager for his surgery, and hopeful that he will make a full recovery.

Willam received successful hernia repair surgery.
Willam is very happy to be finished with surgery and free from pain. Willam will now be able to return home and continue his work without the discomfort his hernia was causing. He is looking forward to being back with his family and to continue working on his farm.
