“A year ago, Sokha accidentally had a piece of bamboo stuck in his eye and he has a cataract that makes him partially blind,” shares our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC). “He can’t see very much and can’t really do his job and support his family.”
Sokha is 46-years-old and lives in Cambodia with his wife and two children. “After his surgery is over, he looks forward to going outside alone and being able to do his duties as a soldier again,” CSC continues.
$150 covers the cost of Sokha’s cataract surgery and will allow him to have clear vision once more.

Sokha received treatment to correct his vision.
Sokha’s doctor at Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC) writes, “The patient is happy to be seeing clearly again and be able to return to work and support his family. Sokha is eager to return to his job as a soldier and be able to go anywhere and do anything. He wishes to thank all of the staff at CSC.”
