Honoratus is a 51-year-old father of seven from Uganda. He and his wife have devoted their life to farming to provide for their family, growing bananas and coffee on a small piece of land.
For the past three months, Honoratus has had a reducible right inguinal hernia, a condition that occurs when abdominal tissue protrudes through a weak spot in the lower abdominal muscles, causing a bulge in the groin area. He went to our medical partner’s care center, Uganda Martyr’s Ibanda Hospital, seeking medical attention due to the painful swelling. Because of financial hardship, he had been unable to seek treatment earlier.
Fortunately, our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, can help. On July 9th, he will undergo repair surgery at Uganda Martyr’s Ibanda Hospital. Honoratus and his family need help raising $201 to fund the surgery. Once completed, this procedure will hopefully allow him to live more comfortably.
Honoratus says, “I am humbled and grateful to God for protecting me and bringing me at Ibanda hospital to seek treatment. I hope I will be assisted on my surgery, and I hope the operation will be successful. I will keep practicing farming and get money to start up a small business.’’
