Meet Ezala, a 10-year-old living in Malawi. Ezala enjoys school, playing soccer with his friends, and helping his parents farm. He says he does his best to help out with household tasks, too.
Ezala has an umbilical hernia. His abdominal muscles bulge out through his belly button. This causes Ezala pain and makes it difficult for him to do everyday things.

Ezala received surgery to correct a painful hernia.
“I am happy that I can wear clothes without the hernia bulging and my friends staring at me!” says Ezala.
