Dina is a 25-year-old farmer with 6 brothers from Cambodia. He enjoys spending time at home reading books and watching TV.
Dina fractured his left forearm while operating a rice harvester earlier this year. He could not afford to go to a hospital after the accident. He received treatment from a local traditional healer, but it has been ineffective. He is in pain, and can’t use his left arm.
For $411, surgeons at Children’s Surgical Centre will perform an open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF) procedure to treat the fracture and allow Dina to use his arm again.
Dina’s mom shared: “I hope after surgery my son can have normal function of his arm again.”

Dina can use his arm again.
Doctors at our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, performed a successful open reduction internal fixation procedure. Before returning home, Dina completed two weeks of physiotherapy. Now, Dina can use his left arm without pain. If he has any difficulty, he can return to CSC for free treatment.
“After the operation, I am really happy with the good results,” says Dina. “Now I can use my left arm. Thanks to CSC and all the staff at CSC for helping me.”
Dina’s mother adds, “I am really happy to see my son heal from his fractured arm. I want to say thanks to all of the doctors and all of the staff at CSC for helping my son.”
