“How I eagerly wait to see my child in his or her healthy and jovial condition!” Pamela told her doctors.
Pamela is a 42-year-old mother of eight who is now expecting a new baby soon. Pamela is experiencing a difficult pregnancy, having back pain, headaches, and stomach aches. Sometimes the pain makes it hard for her to eat.
Pamela lives in Kenya and is married to a farmer who grows and sells sugarcane. Pamela’s family spends much of their time together, including attending to their farm and going to church. Pamela enjoys listening to gospel music and she, her husband, and two of their children sing in the church choir.
For $290, Pamela will give birth in a facility under the supervision of trained professionals. This way, if there are any complications, she’ll have the support she needs. “After a safe delivery, Pamela will be able to join her family in the farm,” writes our medical partner, Lwala Community Alliance.
Let’s support Pamela and her family as they welcome their newest addition to the family!
