Erick is a 13-year-old boy from Uganda. He is the third-born child in a family of five children. Sadly, the children lost their father in 2025, leaving their mother as the sole caregiver and provider for the family. Erick is currently in Primary Seven, and hopes to continue his education and build a better future. His mother is a small-scale farmer, growing crops such as beans and millet.
For three years, Erick has had a hydrocele, a swelling in a sensitive area of his body. On August 27th, Erick will undergo hydrocele repair surgery at our medical partner’s care center, Uganda Martyr’s Ibanda Hospital. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is requesting $201 to fund Erick’s surgery.
Erick’s mother said: “I am very happy and grateful to God for guiding us safely to Ibanda Hospital, where I know my son can receive good medical care. However, I do not have enough money to meet the cost of his operation. I sincerely beg this program to support us, so that my son can receive the treatment he needs and regain his health.’’
