Mbabazi is a 38-year-old tailor from Uganda. Her husband works as a farmer, and together they have four children, all of whom are currently attending school.
For the past three years, Mbabazi has been living with a painful swelling in her abdomen. What has now been diagnosed as a cyst on her abdominal wall often prevents Mbabazi from working. Without treatment, Mbabazi will continue to experience extreme discomfort and may eventually need to stop tailoring.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $187 to fund the excision of the abdominal cyst. The procedure is scheduled to take place on June 29 and, once completed, will hopefully allow Mbabazi to live more comfortably.
“I hope to continue with tailoring when I am relieved of this condition that brings me pain,” says Mbabazi.
