“I dream of a better future where my children are educated, have steady work, and they can all depend on themselves,” shares Lillian, a cheerful 24-year-old woman from Kenya. Lillian and her husband, who are expecting their second child together, sell shoes and are small-scale farmers.
Abdominal pain, headaches, and backache from her pregnancy have made it difficult for Lillian to continue her daily household duties.
Lillian is hoping that Watsi donors can raise $290 to cover basic prenatal, delivery, and postnatal services. According to our medical partner, the Lwala Community Alliance, this will ensure a “safe delivery, reduced risk of complication, and increased knowledge of how to stay healthy and prevent disease.”
