Mugarura is a small-scale farmer from Uganda and married with six children. One of them is a nurse, two are in secondary school, and the rest still in primary school. He and his wife practice farming to earn a living.
Since three years ago, Mugarura has had an inguinal hernia. The condition has affected his movements and he can’t stand for a long period of time or hardly do any activities in the garden due to his pain. Fortunately, on May 19th, he will undergo hernia repair surgery at our medical partner’s care center.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $241 to fund Mugarura’s surgery. Once completed, this procedure will hopefully allow him to live more comfortably and confidently.
Mugarura shared: “I look forward to getting treatment for my condition and continue to farm for my family.”
