Chanrith is a 30-year-old husband with one son. In his free time, he likes to visit the province where he grew up.
Two months ago, Chanrith developed a cataract in each eye, causing him blurred vision, burning, and extreme sensitivity to light. He has difficulty seeing things clearly and going anywhere outside.
When Chanrith learned about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre, he traveled for two hours seeking treatment. On December 12, doctors performed a phacoemulsification cataract surgery and an intraocular lens implant in each eye. After recovery, Chanrith will be able to see clearly again. Now, he needs help to fund this $292 procedure.
“I hope that I will be able to see more clearly,” says Chanrith, “because I want to sell goods and do any work at home. I also want to be able to go anywhere by myself easily.”
