Mary is a 58-year-old mother of six from Kenya. She spent years working hard to support herself by selling clothes in the market. Although her children are now grown and caring for families of their own, Mary continues to navigate many challenges. Mary first noticed a painful boil in her vulva area in October 2025. After seeking treatment at a nearby hospital, she found no relief. Instead, her condition worsened. By time Mary arrived at our facility in February 2026, tests revealed she had vulva cancer. The swelling made it difficult for her to carry out daily activities. More than anything, Mary longed for healing, relief from the pain, and the chance to regain her strength and dignity. Thanks to your support, Mary successfully underwent mass excision surgery to remove the infected and cancerous tissue. Since then, she has been healing well, with the pain and burning sensation greatly improved. She now requires skin graft surgery to properly cover and protect the affected area. Fortunately, our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is helping Mary receive treatment. On May 18th, surgeons will perform a debridement and skin graft procedure to continue her journey toward recovery. Now, Mary needs help to fund this $1,185 procedure. Mary says, “I was so afraid the disease would keep spreading. Now I have hope again, and I pray this next surgery will help me heal completely and regain my strength.”

Jeremia is an 11-month-old baby boy. He is the only child in his family and lives with both parents, who work as pastoralists. They keep cattle and occasionally cultivate maize during the farming season to support their family. Jeremia has clubfoot on both feet, a congenital condition in which feet are twisted inward. Without appropriate treatment, this condition can make walking difficult and affect his ability to wear regular shoes comfortably as he grows. When Jeremia was born, his parents were unaware that medical treatment could help correct the position of his feet. Hope came when the Kafika House outreach team visited their village and identified Jeremia as a child who could benefit from treatment. For his parents, this discovery opened the door to an opportunity they had not previously known was available. Following an assessment, Jeremia has been scheduled to begin clubfoot treatment on October 20th. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is requesting $341 to fund Jeremia's clubfoot repair. Abasi is 72 years old and the father of seven children from Malawi. He owns a small business selling second-hand clothing to support his family. Four of his children are now married and living on their own, while three still depend on him at home. Through years of hard work, his small business has provided enough to meet their basic needs. It has been a simple but honest way of life. Two and a half months ago, Abasi started experiencing troubling symptoms. He was diagnosed with Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia. He needs to undergo a prostatectomy, a surgery to remove part or all of the prostate, to address his symptoms and prevent other health complications. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is requesting $530 to fund this procedure. The treatment is scheduled to take place at our medical partner's care center, Nkhoma Hospital, on July 9th. Once completed, it will hopefully improve Abasi's quality of life. More than anything, he longs to regain his health so he can return to the trading centre, reopen his small business, and continue providing for the family that still depends on him. Abasi says, "I have always worked to provide for my family with my own hands. My greatest wish is to recover, return to my business, and continue caring for those who still depend on me. I am thankful that there is hope through this program."
