Faith is a nine-year-old from Kenya. She lives with her single mother and five siblings in a one-room house in central Kenya. Faith’s mother is a farmer.
For eight years, Faith has had a left inguinal hernia. This is a swelling on the left side of her groin. Fortunately, on December 11, she will undergo repair surgery at our medical partner’s care center.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is requesting $423 to fund Faith’s surgery. Once completed, this procedure will hopefully allow her to live more comfortably.

Faith underwent hernia repair surgery.
Faith’s inguinal hernia repair was successful. She is no longer at risk of hernia strangulation or obstruction.
