Samuel is a 20-month-old boy from Uganda. He lives with his parents, both small-scale farmers, and his four older siblings.
About a year ago, Samuel began experiencing intermittent swelling in a sensitive area of his body. The swelling has become painful, prompting his parents to bring him to our partner’s medical care center, Uganda Martyr’s Ibanda Hospital.
After an examination, doctors diagnosed Samuel with a hydrocele. They have recommended surgery, as the condition is causing him ongoing pain and is unlikely to improve on its own.
Fortunately, Samuel’s surgery is scheduled for October 29th. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is requesting $201 to fund his surgery. Once completed, this procedure will hopefully allow him to live more comfortably.
Samuel’s mother shared, “I thank God who has enabled me to bring my child to Ibanda hospital, I hope the donor program will support my child towards his surgery. I will keep practicing farming while taking care of Samuel and other children.”
