A bone transplant that would give Samuel relief costs $1,495 – an amount that Samuel’s father, a manual laborer recently forced to quit his job to care for his ailing son, can’t field by himself.

Samuel received surgery to treat osteomyelitis, a serious condition that causes inflammation and infection in bone marrow, so he can run around like other kids.
While under the care of our medical partners, Samuel received several incision and drainage procedures, as well as a sequestrectomy to remove areas of dead bone. Samuel will return for x-rays and checkups, but his doctors say he is expected to fully recover!
