Johncena is the youngest of three siblings. His family relies on his father’s income from small-scale farming along with other day jobs that his father picks up. While he earns enough to cover the family’s basic needs, he cannot afford the cost of Johncena’s surgery.
Johncena was diagnosed with a bone infection which caused his right knee joint to be angled inward. As a result, walking is very difficult for Johncena, his posture and mobility have worsened, and he may experience long-term joint damage.
On November 22nd, Johncena will receive knee surgery. Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is requesting $631 to fund the surgery to restore Johncena’s mobility and greatly decrease his risk of future complications.
Johncena says, “I want to be able to walk freely while going to school and enjoy playing with my friends.”
