Peace is a mother of four from Uganda. She works hard to support her family through small-scale farming, growing groundnuts on land that belongs to other people. However, her farming generates very little income, making it difficult to meet her family’s basic needs.
Two months ago, Peace developed an umbilical hernia. On October 14th, she came to our medical partner’s care center, Uganda Martyr’s Ibanda Hospital, with swelling and discomfort around her umbilical region. To treat this, Peace will need hernia repair surgery.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is requesting $201 to fund Peace’s surgery scheduled on October 21st. Once completed, this procedure will hopefully allow her to live more comfortably.
Peace says, “I am grateful to God for the services offered at Ibanda Hospital. I request the donor program to support me with my surgery. I will continue working hard and saving money so that I can eventually buy my own land.”
