Sandar is a 26-year-old woman from Burma. She lives with her daughter and two friends in Karen State. Sandar helps her friends sell clothing in their shop. Her youngest daughter stays home, while her older daughter lives in her school’s dormitory.
Sandar is currently expecting her third child. Her doctors recommend that she deliver via a caesarean section because of a high-risk pregnancy. This way, doctors can ensure the safety of both mother and child.
Our medical partner, Burma Children Medical Fund (BCMF), is helping Sandar undergo a C-Section on October 2nd. This procedure will cost $1500, and Sandar needs your support.
Sandar said, “Since I learned that I would need this procedure, I have felt very worried because I cannot afford to pay for it. Now, I am relieved to know that BCMF will cover the cost. I am very grateful to all the donors for their support.”
