JohnPaul is a 42-year-old man from Uganda. He is married and a devoted father of four children, all of whom are currently attending school. He and his wife engage in small-scale farming for the family.
On the 14th of March 2025, JohnPaul was involved in an accident that left him with a serious injury to his right thigh. He underwent fracture fixation. Although the fracture healed, he gradually developed a painful swelling at the site of the injury. Over the past two years, the swelling has progressively increased in size and has become increasingly painful. He found it increasingly difficult to walk, bend, cultivate his gardens, and carry out other physically demanding household activities.
JohnPaul was referred to our medical partner’s care center, Rushoroza Hospital, where doctors found a large cystic mass on the thigh requiring a mass excision surgery. The doctors also recommended that a biopsy be performed to establish the exact nature of the mass and guide any further treatment.
Fortunately, our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, can help. On August 5th, surgeons will remove the mass. Now, JohnPaul needs help to raise $261 to fund this procedure.
JohnPaul said, “For two years, I have lived with pain that has slowly taken away my strength and my ability to provide for my family. Every day, I worry about how I will educate my children and put food on the table. I have borrowed money to keep my children in school, and now I cannot afford the surgery that could restore my health. I humbly appeal to donors to help me undergo this operation.
