Agatha is a 45-year-old woman and a devoted mother of two children from Uganda. She and her husband are small-scale farmer who works hard to provide food and necessities for their household.
Two years ago, Agatha started to experience severe discomfort, weakness, fatigue, and emotional distress due to excessive bleeding. She has been diagnosed with multiple symptomatic uterine fibroids and needs to undergo a hysterectomy, a procedure in which surgeons will remove her uterus. Her condition affects her ability to perform her daily tasks and support her family.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is requesting $319 to fund Agatha’s surgery. On June 10th, she will undergo gynecological surgery at our medical partner’s care center, Rushoroza Hospital. Once recovered, Agatha will be able to resume her daily activities free of pain.
Agatha says, “I am here with great humility requesting financial assistance to enable me to undergo the recommended surgery here at Rushoroza Hospital. I pray that I may be supported so that I may undergo this surgery, which I believe will greatly contribute to restoring my health, relieving my suffering, and improving the welfare of my family.”
