Thiago is a three-year-old intelligent, cheerful, polite, and outgoing three-year-old boy from Colombia who dreams of becoming a soccer player when he grows up. Thiago has severe tooth decay that affects multiple teeth and, due to the extent of the lesions and his young age, it is recommended that he undergo comprehensive dental treatment under general anesthesia as the safest and most effective management of the condition. The procedure will allow for complete oral rehabilitation, including the removal of carious lesions, restorations, and comprehensive management of the affected teeth. Fortunately, our medical partner Clinica Noel can help. They have scheduled the procedure for February 24th. Thiago and his family need help raising $868 to fully fund the surgery and his care. Tengeletu is a 53-year-old man from Malawi. He is married with four adult children and engages in subsistence farming together with his wife to support the family. To supplement their income, Tengeletu also works as a casual laborer, mainly by doing cleaning jobs. In May 2025, Tengeletu started experiencing a swelling in his inguinal region. He sought medical care, and was diagnosed with an inguinal hernia, a condition that occurs when abdominal tissue protrudes through a weak spot in the lower abdominal muscles, causing a bulge in the groin area. Since then, he has made multiple visits to the hospital in hope of undergoing surgical repair, but without success. During his most recent visit to the hospital in early March this year, he was referred to our medical partner's care center, Partners in Hope Medical Center, for further support. He is very hopeful that the surgical operation will restore his health, enabling him to resume his daily activities to earn a living and support his family. Fortunately, on April 9th, he will undergo hernia repair surgery with the help of our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare. Tengeletu is raising $575 to fund the procedure, which will allow him to live more comfortably and confidently. He says, "I am very worried about this condition, I am not ready to die. I hope you can provide treatment support for me too, just like others before me have benefitted."

Barkot is a nine-year-old boy from Ethiopia. He is in the second grade at school, and lives with his parents and brother. His mother is a police officer, and his father is a driver. Since birth, Barkot has suffered from persistent tonsillitis. The condition has been causing him pain and discomfort, difficulty in sleeping at night and snoring. This has worried his parents, especially since they both hold demanding jobs and it's challenging to have them stay home when he is sick. Additionally, frequent school absences have become a major barrier to both his academic progress and social development. Barkot was recently brought to our medical partner, Saglan Wajee General Hospital, and diagnosed with enlarged tonsils, which, if not treated, will cause his symptoms to persist and possibly intensify over time. His family is seeking $700 to fund a tonsillectomy for Barkot, which is scheduled to take place on June 6th. Surgeons will remove his tonsils, hopefully relieving Barkot of his symptoms and helping him live more comfortably. "We are fully committed to getting him healthier, to ensure that he consistently attends school and achieves academic growth," said Barkot's parents.
