Sinbone is a six-year-old from Ethiopia. She is a kindergarten student and a loving middle child between two sisters. Her father works in a government office, while her mother stays home to look after the children.
Since she was a baby, Sinbone had been experiencing symptoms like a cold, fever, difficulty breathing, and snoring. Initially thought to be a simple cold, the persistent symptoms led her parents to a nearby clinic after her first birthday, where doctors diagnosed her with enlarged tonsils. For years, the condition was managed with repeated medications, but it has now dramatically worsened in both frequency and severity, deeply impacting her daily well-being and making surgical intervention urgently necessary.
Our medical partner, Saglan Wajee General Hospital, is requesting $700 to fund a tonsillectomy for Sinbone, which is scheduled to take place on October 3rd. Surgeons will remove her tonsils, hopefully relieving Sinbone of her symptoms and helping her live more comfortably.
Sinbone’s parents shared, “We pray that this surgery will finally free our daughter from years of breathing struggles and endless medicines.”
