Alemi is a 70-year-old mother of five sons and one daughter.
Within the past two years Alemi has developed a cataract in her left eye, a condition characterized by a clouding of the lens of the eye which can blur vision. Her eye started to ache and burn, then it clouded and she was not able to see anything through it any longer.
Fortunately, Alemi is scheduled to undergo cataract surgery at our medical partner’s care center, Saglan Wajee General Hospital. Surgeons will remove and replace the blurred lens. After recovery, she will be able to see clearly. Now, Alemi needs help to fund the $150 lens replacement procedure.
Alemi says: “I hope to see with my left eye very soon, so that I can be able to perform my daily tasks without challenges.”
