Niwagaba is a 29-year-old businessman from Uganda. Three years ago, a mass started to grow on the top of his head. In the beginning, Niwagaba found the mass tolerable, but it has since been increasing in size and negatively affecting his work performance.
Niwagaba has never gone to a hospital before, as they are usually costly visits. However, a friend told him about Watsi and our medical partner in Uganda, African Mission Healthcare Foundation (AMHF). On August 8, Niwagaba will receive surgery to remove the mass, and is requesting $187 to cover the total cost of his procedure and care. After the treatment, Niwagaba will be able return to work and regain self-esteem.
Niwagaba says, “I was worried about this condition as I have not yet married and I hope to regain peace of mind and continue operating my business.”
