Agnes is a 24-year-old mother of two, and small scale farmer living in Uganda. Agnes was born into a family of 11 children, and due to financial constraints, she had to drop out of school while still young. Growing up, she started hawking goods around town, and then got married at the age of 18. Together with her husband, they live a modest life with their children, relying mainly on farming for survival. They cultivate small-scale food crops, primarily for home consumption, and sell the surplus to generate income to sustain their family.
Agnes is currently expecting her third child. Her doctors recommend that she deliver via a caesarean section, due to a high-risk pregnancy. This way, doctors can ensure safety for both the mother and child.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare Foundation, is helping Agnes undergo a C-section on September 17th, at Karoli Lwanga Hospital, Nyakibale. This procedure will cost $252, and Agnes needs your support.
Agnes says: “With your support, I am looking forward to a successful delivery of a healthy baby, and to remaining in good health even after being discharged back home.”
