Marina is a 25-year-old woman from Burma. She lives with her husband, son, and cousin in a refugee camp in Mae Hong Son Province, Thailand. Marina is a homemaker, and her husband is a day laborer working outside the camp. During her free time, Marina sews and makes traditional Karen clothing to earn extra money.
Marina is currently expecting her second child. Her doctors recommend that she deliver via a caesarean section because of a high-risk pregnancy. This way, doctors can ensure the safety of both mother and child.
Our medical partner, Burma Children Medical Fund, is helping Marina undergo a C-Section on December 31st. This procedure will cost $1500, and Marina needs your support.
Marina said. “In the future, I want to open a grocery shop from my home because my house is located next to the road.”
