Kansiime is a farmer and a mother of five children, all of whom are studying, with the eldest in senior 3 and the youngest in first grade. Kansiime is married, and her husband is employed as a boda boda (motorcycle taxi) driver. They own their own semi-permanent house with four rooms, but, unfortunately, there is not enough money to pay for Kansiime’s care and upcoming surgical bill.
Kansiime was diagnosed with a swelling on her left leg beneath the knee–a condition she has had for almost 3 years. She has paralysis, feeling of needles and pins all over her leg when she sits for long, and she walks with a limp. This has impacted her ability to work, and will continue to worsen her quality of life if not treated.
Kansiime traveled to our medical partner’s care center to receive treatment. On October 4th, surgeons will remove the mass. Now, Kansiime needs help to raise $188 to fund this procedure.
Kansiime says “I beg the donors to support me so that I can regain my health so as to live with less, or without complaints, and to walk well again.”
