Meet 63-year-old Sang from Cambodia. She’s a mother to seven and grandmother to 20.
“Sang’s vision has been blurred vision for the past year because of cataracts,” Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC) tells us. “She cannot see anything clearly which makes it hard for her to conduct daily activities to care for her home and big family.”
With $150, clinicians at CSC will be able to restore Sang’s vision by removing the cataracts from her eyes. “She likes to listen to the monks praying and misses being able to visit the pagoda on her own,” CSC writes of Sang.

Sang’s surgery was a success! Her doctor at Children’s Surgical Centre writes, “Sang’s surgery was a success and her eyesight has improved now that the cataract in her right eye has been removed! Sang looks forward to cooking and caring for her large family as she used to. And she can sell vegetables in the market to earn some money to support her family.
