Orn is a 70-year-old woman who lives in Cambodia with her son and husband.
Although her vision started to blur about three years ago, Orn was still able to care for herself and her family. Lately, however, her vision has deteriorated and she has developed mature cataracts in both eyes. Orn is now partially blind and unable to continue the daily activities she enjoys.
When a neighbor shared with her the possibility of receiving free treatment that would improve her eyesight, Orn was hopeful enough to travel six hours to visit our medical partner. For just $100, we can deliver on that hope and provide Orn with a small incision cataract surgery (SICS) to remove the cataract in her right eye. She’ll also receive a replacement lens, which will improve her eyesight and allow her to resume cooking and taking care of the house. Let’s help Orn regain her independence!
