Poch is 26 years old and married. He likes to play soccer and help his parents on their farm.
Poch has developed a cholesteatoma, an abnormal skin growth, in his left ear. It causes ear discharge, hearing loss, and pain. Poch is unhappy and has difficulty communicating with others.
When Poch learned about our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC), he traveled for three hours seeking treatment. On November 22, CSC surgeons performed a mastoidectomy procedure in his left ear to remove the cholesteatoma.
After recovery, his hearing will improve. Now, he needs help to fund this $842 procedure.

Poch sadly and unexpectedly passed away after treatment.
Surgeons at CSC performed a mastoidectomy procedure to remove the cholesteatoma in his left ear. Unfortunately, Poch had also developed an abscess on his neck. The infection had spread from his ear to his airway. Surgeons performed an open neck surgery and debridement in order to remove the infected tissue.
We are deeply saddened to report that Poch passed away soon after those procedures.
We are committed to reporting all outcomes transparently––even the ones we wish were different. Thank you so much for your support of Poch.
