Wilson is a forty-year-old father to eight children from Uganda. He is the third-born in a family of five children. He shared that he studied only up to Primary Three, while his wife did not attend school. Wilson is a beekeeper and earns a small income from selling honey during good seasons.
For about 24 years, Wilson has had reducible inguinal hernia. The condition has severely affected his life; he cannot bend to work with his bees, and walking long distances is now difficult. He has tried local herbs and purchased pain medication from clinics, but these measures have been ineffective. Fortunately, on March 17th, he will undergo hernia repair surgery at our medical partner’s care center.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is requesting $234 to fund Wilson’s surgery. Once completed, this procedure will hopefully allow him to live more comfortably and confidently.
Wilson says, “God is great. Finally, they are going to operate on me. Thank you to the donor program. God protect you and your families. I want to assure you that after recovery, I will be able to work hard and protect my family.”
