Loudretche is a one-year-old girl from Haiti who was born with a hole in her heart. She lives with her mother, stepfather, and 12-year-old sister. Her mother is a chef, and owns a roadside stand where she sells her culinary creations.
Loudretche’s congenital heart disease makes it so blood bypasses her lungs without receiving oxygen. She doesn’t sleep well, sometimes vomits during feeding, and is at risk of a premature death if she doesn’t receive surgical treatment.
Fortunately for $1500, we can pay for the surgery Loudretche needs to repair the hole in her heart and allow blood to flow normally. Her mother has given up everything, from work to her social life, to take care of her daughter and just wants her to grow up healthy. She tells us, “I am very excited that my daughter’s heart problem can be fixed soon!”
