Godious is a 43-year-old small-scale farmer and father from southwest Uganda. He has five children. He shared that unfortunately, due to financial challenges within the family, two of his older sons had to pause their education and are now involved in farming activities at home. However, all of his daughters are currently pursuing their studies.
Godious was forced to leave school himself after seventh grade due to financial hardships. Now, he works with his wife on a small banana and coffee plantation to provide for their children. However, due to limited land size, they have a difficult time supporting their family.
For the last year, Godious has experienced uncomfortable swelling in his neck that impacts his daily activities. He experiences tingling when turning his neck, is unable to carry anything on his head, and cannot sleep while lying on his left side.
Fortunately, our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, can help Godious. He traveled to our medical partner’s care center to receive treatment, where he was diagnosed with a left lateral neck lipoma. He is scheduled for surgery on June 6th at our partner’s care center, where surgeons will remove the mass in his neck. Now, Godious needs your help to raise $137 to fund this procedure.
Godious says, “I hope to get healed once I am operated on and will be able to continue with my activities in good health.”
