Yaser is a 13-year-old boy from the Dominican Republic who lives with his parents and two brothers. Yaser is in eighth grade and loves playing ping pong.

Yaser underwent heart surgery.
During the procedure, the narrow portion of Yaser’s aorta was stretched open with a balloon. Blood can now pass more freely through it, and he should be able to lead a normal life with no further symptoms from this condition.
