Allen is a 22-year-old single mother of two young boys. To provide for her family, she works as a house help, earning a very modest income that barely covers her children’s basic needs.
For the past three years, Allen has been suffering from a painful condition that has steadily worsened and affected every aspect of her daily life. She experiences painful symptoms in her rear area, which has made it increasingly difficult to sit down for extended periods. The constant discomfort has affected her ability to work effectively and care for her children.
Following a thorough examination at Rwibaale Hospital, Allen was diagnosed with hemorrhoids, and the surgeon recommended surgical excision to treat her condition.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is helping Allen receive treatment. On October 13th, she will undergo a procedure where surgeons will remove the hemorrhoids. Now, Allen needs help to fund the $188 cost of treatment.
She says, “I am hopeful that after surgery, I will be able to sit and stand normally, and eat without fear.”
