Randy is a 29-year-old man who is married with a son. He likes to read magazines and watch TV in his free time.
On December 14, 2016, Randy was in a motorcycle accident that caused a closed fracture in his left clavicle and complete paralysis in his left upper limb. He went to a hospital in Phnom Penh, but his symptoms did not improve. It is difficult for Randy to move his hand, and he is in pain.
Fortunately, Randy visited our medical partner, Children’s Surgical Centre (CSC). On February 20, surgeons at CSC will perform a nerve and tendon repair procedure to allow Randy to move his hand easily again. He needs help to fund this $450 care.

Randy underwent nerve and tendon repair surgery.
Randy’s treatment for his left arm went well. Following the procedure, he was instructed to use an arm sling for three weeks for support. After the three weeks, he began physiotherapy at CSC to rebuild his arm strength and flexibility. His nerves are healing well, and his hand function has improved.
Randy says, “I’m happy with the results after surgery. Now I can do things by myself and I hope to go to work again.”
