Mercy is 32 years old and a mother of two from Uganda. Mercy runs a small business selling charcoal and sweet potatoes in her village. Her husband works as a driver, but he also takes on casual jobs whenever opportunities arise to supplement the family’s income.
Mercy is pregnant, and doctors recommend that she deliver via a caesarean section because of a high-risk pregnancy. This way, doctors can ensure the safety of both mother and child.
Our medical partner, African Mission Healthcare, is helping Mercy undergo a C-Section on October 7th. This procedure will cost $214, and Mercy needs your support.
Mercy says, “My small business is not doing well, and the little money I make is mostly used to feed my family and meet our daily needs. I am worried about the cost of the operation because we do not have enough savings to pay for it. I have two young children at home, and I want to deliver this baby safely and return to them. I humbly appeal to the donors to help me receive the operation and care I need. Your support will help me go through this delivery safely and will mean a lot to my family. May God bless you.”
