Meet Sagar, an 11-year-old boy from Nepal who has a fractured left arm. “Sagar was playing with his friends during recess at school when he fell while running,” relays our medical partner, Possible. “Sagar is not able to perform ordinary activities on his own and he has missed school since,” says Possible.
Sagar lives in a family of nine who own a small piece of land. “They rely on their incomes as manual wage laborers to feed the family,” continues Possible. Sagar, though, enjoys his studies and particularly likes his Nepali language classes.
“We do not have enough to eat. But we have to get Sagar treatment,” says Sagar’s mother.
For $205, we can heal Sagar’s fractured arm and allow him to return to his schooling. Possible concludes, “Sagar will be able to put clothes on and help his family in their daily chores. He will be able to get back to the school and play with his friends.”
